Dear Colleagues,

It gives me immense pleasure to communicate with you through the newly created dynamic web site of Gujarat Medical Council.

We have tried to make the website user friendly. Apart from its routine features of GMC Act, Rules, various forms, information regarding council members etc, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that procedure for both temporary or permanent registration can now be made online too. This will save the time and resources of the newly enrolling doctors. The registration can now be obtained within a shorter duration.

Another new feature is regarding Continuing Medical Education programme. Gujarat Medical Coucil has started giving accreditation to CME programmes since Jan-2012. Henceforth the Indian Medical Association, speciality associations and others can apply online for accreditation. The procedure for the same has also been made user friendly.

You can now communicate with the council via web. Good standing certificate and other useful services can now be availed online. We are also trying to communicate with other state councils to make the transfer of registration from one state to other easier.
